The draft T4NG2 Solicitation came out a week ago, giving us an idea of the types of jobs the VA thinks will be necessary for future task orders.
The Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) issued a draft solicitation for the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation 2 (T4NG2) contract. This contract has a ceiling value of $61 Billion and will replace the existing T4NG contract over the next few years as task orders move from T4NG to T4NG2.
T4NG had a ceiling of only $22.3 Billion comparatively and was awarded to 21 companies
The VA Technology Acquisition Center has said they’ll announce the final T4NG2 solicitation in February.
Needless to say, with a ceiling value that high, and such a small expected roster of awardees, T4NG2 is going to be actively pursued by a lot of federal contractors this year.
Inside the draft solicitation was a listing of labor category descriptions (LCATs) that contractors will need to price out.
None of these labor categories are earth-shattering; quite a lot are run-of-the-mill labor categories you might find on CIOSP4 or other recently released GWACs.
But in the interest of predicting the demand for future labor categories, I thought it might be fun to share.
